How to plan your wedding website content

Start with what guests need to arrive on time and dressed for the day: the date, the ceremony and reception addresses, start times and the dress code.

Then add what makes travelling easier. Hotel suggestions, parking, public transport or shuttle times, and the order of events if there is more than one.

Leave the personal touches until last: your story, engagement photos, a song guests can play, and and a link to your gift list if you have one. Our wedding website checklist goes through each section in detail.

Wedding websites for multi-day celebrations

Destination and multi-day weddings need a timeline, not a single time. Guests travelling for a weekend want to know which evenings to keep free and what to pack for each one.

List every event in order, from welcome drinks to the recovery brunch, and say who each one is for. A rehearsal dinner for family only reads very differently from a beach party everyone is invited to.

Each event can have its own venue and map link, and guests can add it to their calendar with the address already filled in.

Private wedding websites

Guest pages carry a noindex tag, so search engines leave them out of results. In practice, only people you send the link to will find your website.
