Cookie policy

Aurelia uses as few cookies as possible. Today we set a single cookie, and only when you sign in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local and session storage, work in much the same way, so this policy covers them too.

02What we use

Strictly necessary — these cannot be switched off, because the site does not work without them:

  • aurelia_session (cookie) — keeps you signed in to your studio. Set when you sign in, lasts up to 30 days, removed when you sign out. It is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it.
  • aurelia.pendingWedding (local storage) — remembers the design and names you picked while you create an account, so they survive confirming your email in another tab. Removed once your invitation is created, and ignored after 24 hours.
  • Session storage — remembers whether you have already opened an invitation’s envelope. It is cleared when you close the tab.
  • aurelia_cookie_prefs (local storage) — remembers the choices you make on our Cookie preferences page.
  • aurelia.partnerRef (local storage) — set only when you open a link from one of our partners (for example your wedding planner). It keeps their code so its discount is applied at checkout, and is ignored after 60 days.

Analytics and marketing — we do not use any at the moment. If we add them, they will stay off until you turn them on, and we will update this page first.

03Third-party content

Some pages load content from other companies, which may set their own cookies or receive your IP address under their own policies:

  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
  • Google Maps — venue maps on invitations, when a couple adds one.
  • Lemon Squeezy — the secure checkout, when you buy a plan.

04Managing cookies

You can review your choices at any time on our Cookie preferences page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
